Andrew started trusting Jesus after his Sund
ay school teacher explained the gospel one Sunday. He’s married to Suzy and they have three teenage/adult children. Andrew grew up in Victoria, and worked in aviation for a while. Over the last 15-20 years he has served in youth ministry, overseas mission and suburban parish ministry. He has a passion to see people of many cultures come to know Jesus, and grow toward unity in Him. In his spare time he enjoys working on his Subaru, going on bush walks, listening to history podcasts, and pretty much anything to do with sport.

Edwin is married to Joyce and have three adult daughters Deborah, Jessica and Melisha. Edwin came to the Lord in Sri Lanka in 1978 and migrated to Australia in 1998. He then studied at Moore College when the Lord called him to full time ministry in 2015. Edwin and Joyce are looking forward to building loving relationships with God’s people at Hurstville Presbyterian Church and fulfill the purpose that God has for them in their new season of ministry.

John Thoms has been an elder of the Hurstville congregation since May 1976 and Session Clerk since November 1994. He is a past member of the Presbyterian Theological Centre Committee of the Presbyterian Church in NSW and the Presbytery representative for the Hurstville congregation. John has a background in finance and administration within the public and private sectors.
