Vacant Administrative Assistant Role

Hurstville Presbyterian Church is looking to employ a part-time administrator to commence work in December 2022, with training commencing Thursday 10th November. The person employed would need to possess good computer skills, including graphic design, photographic skills, and administrative ability to handle tasks like photocopying and record keeping.

Specific duties

Specific duties would include:

  • Entire preparation of the weekly Bulletin
  • Preparation of the weekly Rosters
  • Preparation of the weekly music folders
  • Preparation and maintenance of the Church Directory
  • Maintenance and submission of CCLI (music) annual records
  • Maintenance of the Key Register
  • Photocopying of the Annual Report, and other reports as required
  • Composition of Sunday welcome slides
  • Creation of the children’s activity sheets during school holidays
  • Management of the church’s social media accounts

Workspace

It is envisaged that the work will be carried out in the front office of the Ministry Centre, which is equipped with a computer, photocopier, desk and phone. It would be preferable for the applicant to work regularly on either a Thursday or Friday, with work hours being from 8.30am to 4.30pm. Work would be carried out under the general supervision of the Session.

Remuneration

This appointment is for one day (7.5 hours) per week, with remuneration being an hourly rate of $35.85 based on the Clerks Private Sector Award, Level 4, paid fortnightly, plus superannuation at 10.5%.
