O Lamb who graced the manger
Please grace my heart today
O Child to whom the gold was giv’n
Please teach me what to pray
For I am poor and lowly
And know not what to bring
But Thou art kind and gentle
With mercies of a King

O Lamb who greeted shepherds
Look kindly on this soul
O Child who welcomed frankincense
Grant heat upon this coal
For I am poor and fearful
And stammer when I sing
But Thou art kind and generous
With mercies of a King

O Lamb who saw the shadow
O awful Calvary
O Child to whom the myrrh was giv’n
Be merciful to me
For I am poor and broken
With sins that spoil and sting
But Thou art kind and gracious
With mercies of a King
